Your Local Theatre School.

The Mendip Performing Arts Academy is a fun, interactive and inclusive performing arts and theatre school, based in Somerset, with classes currently based in and around Evercreech, Shepton Mallet, Bruton, Glastonbury, West Pennard and Doulting.

Run by former recording artist, professional performer and Musical Theatre graduate, Principal Rosie, the Academy gives students the chance to learn the three core performing disciplines of singing, dancing and acting, with a focus on confidence, team building, fun and of course learning and building on performance skills.

Performing arts is about so much more than just singing, dancing or acting.  We encourage our students to reach their potential in a safe and encouraging environment, build confidence and find skills they never even knew they had.

We offer group sessions, one to one singing lessons, preparations for LAMDA examination and so much more.  With drama classes, dance lessons and singing lessons all rolled into one, we've got the perfect mix for your budding triple threat performer.

One to one and group classes for adults and children in singing, drama and dance.

Our classes are determined by age group, with the content and structure set specifically to engage with learners at that stage in their performing journey.  This ensures your child gets the most out of their time at the academy and has the opportunity to flourish.

Classes are kept small to ensure all students have the opportunity to learn and receive 1-1 support.

Each class will have a different theme for each term and our Mini's and Midi's (COVID restrictions permitting) will present a showcase for families at the end of each 12 week term.

We have a strong focus on collaboration and team-work, helping our students to build their confidence, make new friends and have fun during the sessions.

As well as the regular classes we also hold masterclasses on topics such as audition preparation and microphone technique to give your child the opportunity to hone their craft.

During the holidays there will be the opportunity to participate in extra classes and workshops.  Details for these are released each term.

The classes run during term time for a period of 12 weeks, with a half-term break dividing up the term.

We offer a £5 trial session for prospective students (dependent on class space).
